A magnetic knife rack is more sanitary. Wooden blocks are porous, and they are practically made to take up germs. A nice knife rack maintains your knife set on display for your friends and family to observe, view and approve. Knife racks keep dinner service out of the reach of small children. If your knives are in a kitchen drawer, or on the counter, they are in easy reach of small children. Knife sleeves are a huge ache in the bump.
